Quality trumps quality, yes...and this list has both. It has a sizeable, respectable number of games, some of them are great, most of them are good. Spider-Man and Astro's playroom are 85 and 82 respectively, Demon's Souls is likely to get great reviews, and While it might be a stretch to assume Sackboy will do well, it'll likely do mid to high 70's, which is good for what it is. You can't say this is a bad launch unless you're weirdly super specific about what you like or are just trying to downplay it. If you don't like it, that's fine. I hate Call of Duty. I'm not going to pretend it's not a good game or a great addition to the launch lineup. same with Assassin's Creed and Watch-Dogs, they're not for me, but they're still good games. |
The list is good, it isn't a poor list, but it isn't a great list either (IMHO). Frankly the only ps5 game I want on the list is a remaster via Demon. Personally I see the ps5 launch as average/typical/standard. I'm not disappointed nor am I impressed. It doesn't help that the majority of your list are ps4 games.
