https://www.engadget.com/kojima-pt-silent-hills-ps5-backward-compatability-205847752.html And Konami made sure to lock the possibility to play P.T. on PS5.

Exactly how will they do that? The PS5 has a PS4 emulator which shouldn't have much trouble running PS4 compatible software. That is unless they are patching a demo which has not been on the Ps Store for years... But why would they do something like that? Out of spite? Seems absurd to me.

Well if you read the link you'll see that it was working fine on the first time that person tried to run PT (probably had it on an external drive), but now it isn't loading and he assumes Konami decided it couldn't be played and possibly that got locked because of internet connection.

Link is not working anymore, probably because it was taken down by Endgadget, ¿wonder why?

Bolded: So, assumed, maybe PT has compatibility issues with PS4 mode on PS5. It´s funny how people ignore the most likely answer and jump to conclusions. No, no that funny, just the good ole clickbait.

Well the link still works, was just that when I posted it, the spacebar didn't register between "html" and "And". try again please.

But yes there may be other reasons, I dunno if it should be considered a demo, but if it is considered a game then it should be on the list of not playable.

Thanks for the correct link.

My question still stands, not sure how they did that, I'm thinking that maybe they could reach out to Sony to have PT black listed from the system, or maybe PT has some sort of online functionality that I am unaware of. But I think its a useless waste of time for Konami. I believe its more a matter of the emulator. Perhaps Sony´s PR is trying to pin it up on Konami.
