Really sad, at this rate it will end up being bought by another larger Japanese company

If it were a company that respected the brand and made some good decisions with the existing IP like releasing collections or remasters of that massive back catalog currently collecting dust, and giving new games the development time needed to be solid, then I would be all for that.
