Is this confirmed? I didn't watch the video I prefer to keep the experience as fresh as possible when I get my hand on it.
If so, then great news. The rolling mechanic was updated in Dark Souls and it had a big impact on the gameplay. I imagine going back to 4 directions only wouldn't feel great.
