I'm also 6'1, but by shoe size is 13-13.5 (my left foot is a centimetre longer than the right one, making finding a good pair a bit difficult). Thankfully, my feet stopped growing when I was 12 already, otherwise I wouldn't know where to get any shoes.
My mother calls them Steamboats due to the size, I replied they were Titanics (since I couldn't walk on water yet).
