I'm not sure if I'm interpreting it wrong but it seems like you can jump in any mode/level from the UI. That is a major QoL improvement!
IE. Instead of going through the boot up of a game, and accessing multiplayer modes in the main menu, you can jump straight to matchmaking right from the UI.
