Why couldn't they quarantine in the Whitehouse? I'm assuming they have ways to keep people isolated there. I'm not sure I follow.
I don't think it's a ploy, because I don't think this helps him politically. But, I think he doesn't want to project what he sees as weakness.
Based on what I'm seeing, I think it's bad.
Ivanka's statement to me doesn't seem to be indicative of something mild
"You are a warrior and will beat this. I love you dad."
Same for Eric.

I couldn't find the pictures, but the look in Ivanka's eyes when they were taking him (to be fair it might have been out of context) looked very scared.
Then there's experimental treatments being done on a 74 year old man in a key position. The fact that they already said he'd be there for a few days.
I don't have any more information than anyone else, but my read is that this is a serious health risk. I am guessing that by the end of the weekend Mike Pence will be handling Preisdential duties.
