Cyberpunk was literally invented by Blade Runner and the sole purpose was a social commentary on low life-high tech. It's the entire point. Why don't we just flip the script? I should ask Mario to have decapitations and sex and swearing. Don't go into a Friday the 13th film and complain about the sex and blood. There is plenty of stuff out there family-friendly. Ratings exist for a reason and that reason is not you trying to change it to fit what you want. It's there to let you know IF it is for you.

So what are people like me, who enjoy 80's dystopian future stories, supposed to do? Do we never get to enjoy AAA cyberpunk games? Do these developers not realize they are losing sales by not enabling toggle options? I'm not asking them to remove that stuff for people that want it, just for those of us that don't to have the option.

I get the lotions, but sometimes we have to step back and understand that there is source material from this and the founder of the cyberpunk board game has been involved too.

This is not our vision or the vision of reviewers etc, this is an adaptation of a boardgames that has books and huge amounts of lore, and it is this vision that is being brought to life.

It's like asking for two types of Game of Thrones, one fully censored. It's like saying the story they need to tell about how messed up the future is in this world should be removed or ignored. Its like asking marvel to remove any form of religion from as they find religion offensive. Or asking Mario to exchange the princess or switch characters as they find it sexist the princess cannot defend herself and a chubby plumber has to do it.

I don't condone sexual themes, or alcohol, drugs, violence, but ultimately, this is not my story or my vision. This is the uncompromised vision from the cyberpunk universe that highlights societies issues, many of which reflect reality and it should make us question how bad things have got.

To remove them would be a disservice to the source material and like many cultures out there, a case of brushing these issues under the carpet.
