I don't understand why everyone thinks that MS is going to make the Bethesda games XB/PC exclusive. It wouldn't make sense from a business perspective to buy a company that gets half of its sales from Playstation, then stop releasing their games on Playstation. It would probably erase more than 50% of the value of the company that they just bought. MS is a giant company, run exclusively "by the numbers". There's no console war BS going on on that board room. It's a bunch of smart business people figuring out how to make more money. And, buying companies and stripping out half of their sales on purpose is not an effective way to do that.

I agree.  Their goal is how to get a return on the 7.5 billion and then some in the least amount of time possible.

Says who? What evidence/quote? Because historically it took Minecraft and the 2 billion to buy it several years before it made back the money. And now they laughing with how much it continues to do so. MS is playing the long game.

To make this clear, we all know on some level Game Pass and it’s growth is MSs true goal. So tell me, how does Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 5 on PS5 boost Game Pass subs? Xbox getting a cut from sales doesn’t boost the Xbox brand and especially Game Pass if PS gamers don’t feel the need to get into Xbox.

Game Pass is at 15 million now. Imagine if it hits 50. That’s 500 million per month, averaging it to $10 per month per user due to PC GP users paying $10 and general people picking up trial runs.

You want to know how they gonna make it back? That’s how. You grow Game Pass to juggernaut levels. Having Starfield exclusive will add millions to PC and Xbox Game Pass combined. Same for Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Games like Doom and the rest will do their thing at lesser degrees but ultimately boost the value and keep people subscribed.

Xbox can make the 7.5 billion back all by themselves. It will take years. There will be no easy solution but it centres around making Game Pass the most tempting option. And that won’t happen if PS gamers know they can simply wait it out.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
