How is the base memory of a brand new console only able to hold 10-12 games something in any way acceptable? I'm not sure whose fault is it, the developers who are dedicating less and less time to optimising space, or the publishers that are allowing it, but this is not something sustainable.

Did you like skip the NES, SNES, PS1, PS2 and PS3 generations?

Have you heard of the Nintendo Switch? How much internal storage does it have? And how many games can you store on it? Notice how well it's selling?

Consoles until the 7th gen couldn't download full games digitally, so that comparison is moot. And I'm pretty sure people complained back when the PS3 and 360 launched with a model with 20gb storage model, same with both models of the WiiU, and with the 32Gb of internal storage of the Switch. Publishers and platform holders desperately want a digital only future, but by doing so they are burdening us with all of the costs they can get rid off themselves. This is not something that benefits the consumer if they keep needing to buy extra hardware to simply have the game.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
