Unless they can hit the 150$ area with the slim, they honestly shouldn't even bother.

It ain't about moving more hardware, it's about milking the system for every last drop it has while it's still very profitable.

The PS3 was able to last another 4 years after the PS4 launched and it still moved a ton of software on top of selling another 5.6 million units. 

I'm sure the PS4 has another 3 years in its tank.
