Actually here's a monthly launch schedule I wanna see for major releases next year:

Jan: nothing
Feb:
- Mario 3D World
- Zelda Collection (probably OoT, MM, WW, ideally TP as well)
Mar:
- upgraded Switch model launched on Switch 4 yr anniversary
- BotW2 launched on Switch 4 year anniversary
- plus Nintendo announces Premium Switch Online to coincide with the launch of the next model. $35/yr and includes N64, GB, and soon GBA games, and includes access to Mario35
Apr: new Monster Hunter (assuming the rumors are real, and its not coming this holiday)
May: Metroid Prime Trilogy
June: Mario Strikers
July: FZero or Starfox or Kid Icarus or something else cool
Aug: Wii Sports/Resort/Club
Sept:
- Bayo 3
- another Ring Fit game
Oct: Mario 2D
Nov: Pokemon remake
Dec: Metroid Prime 4

Do that lineup and Switch will see another ~30 million sales next year.

Did you miss the "predict" part of the title? (Was going to tell this to Dulfite too but ... I think he's joking? Maybe?)

Are you saying Nintendo just confirmed everything on my list, thus making it not a prediction?? Can't wait!

It would make sense for Switch to have a huge year next year, given they are releasing an upgraded model and included in that report/rumor is that Nintendo has a lot of stuff coming out next year, plus the fact that some stuff probably got delayed from this year and the fact that they didn't put out a lot this year (All-Stars is low effort port, Pikmin is fairly low effort port, Xeno DE is fairly low effort port, 3D World next year is fairly low effort port). So clearly they must have a ton of other stuff in the works with easy ports making up a lot of the lineup from 2020 and early 2021. If Nintendo wants to get most of their series on the Switch they're gonna have to put out a ton of stuff one of these years, and 2021 would make the most sense while the Switch is at its hottest.

I don't see anything specific that is super wishful thinking on the list, other than the idea that Nintendo is gonna suddenly add N64, GB, and GBA to Switch Online. We know 3D World's launch, Zelda Collection is highly likely, BotW2 will absolutely be coming next year, Monster Hunter now seems to be a pretty substantial rumor that is supposedly about to be confirmed so if its not launching this holiday next year is likely, MP Trilogy is likely and its just a port, some sort of Mario sports game seems likely soon so its not a bad guess, FZero or Starfox or Kid Icarus or some sort of other series not listed could include a lot of games and Nintendo has gotta be working on some of them, no idea if Nintendo is gonna put some sort of Wii Sports port on Switch but it'd be a great seller so it'd be stupid not to do it at some point and would be a low effort game so its possible, Bayo 3 we know has been in the works for a while so next year seems very possible, Nintendo would be stupid to not put out 1 or 2 more Ring Fit games so next year is a possibility unless they're just gonna do the low effort thing and not give people who paid extra for the ring to actually use it with any other games, Mario 2D has gotta happen at some point as that could be a 20 million seller so it should be 2021 or 2022, Pokemon remake is likely and probably for next year, and MP4 is a possibility for next year or 2022 if dev is going super slow. Sure you might just think there's no way Nintendo would put out that many great games in a year, but unless they are gonna leave big Nintendo IP gaps in the Switch library or still be putting out a bunch of games very late in Switch's life (which seems unlikely), a huge year next year makes sense. So yeah that's my prediction.
