Puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
The only region the Xbox has a fighting chance is NA. As it stands, PS4 has sold around 38M consoles there to the Xbox's around 31M. But the real point here is that that only accounts for 33% of the PS4 total sales and a whopping ~64% of the Xbox sales.
The 7th gen has given a lot of people a lot of false hope or ideas. It blinded them to just how lopsided this fight between the PS and Xbox truly is. It simply does not matter what Xbox does, short of selling the 12TF XBSX for like $299, even then they would need the PS5 to be priced at $499/$599 to generate any kinda traction. Basically, this isn't and has never been a fair fight, MS needs sony to properly fuck up out the gate to make this remotely fair.
Power, game pass, all-access...etc, these are all cards MS has played before, multiple times. It has never made a difference. The only thing that could, is if MS literally goes out there and builds a library of stellar must-have exclusives, and while they are at it, secure major third-party exclusives too. I am talking things like Cyberpunk, Call of Duty, GTA6...etc. All while being cheaper. Thats exactly what Sony did with the PS1 to dethrone Nintendo and Sega.
