But this isn't like a new thing. Nintendo always has multiple updates to its portable systems. Updated systems have never been a problem for them for selling the next gen. And I think Switch 2 launch is much more likely in 2024, so it'll be more like 3 years which is a lot of time. Also Switch 2 is going to be wayyyy more capable than an upgraded Switch. Upgraded Switch is gonna run the same games but with apparently 4k using DLSS, while Switch 2 is going to be a far more capable system in general. Your worry would be like saying people won't upgrade to PS5 and XSeries because they just came out with XBX and PS4 Pro a few years ago.
