When you put it that way yeah, the past decade of xbox has been mediocre at best.

Xbox Series X also has an SSD! 1 TB, not like 870 GB. 

And yeah, I don't understand how a brand that has been diminishing for the past decade, launching without any major exclusives up against a console launching with some serious contenders, could possibly win the holidays. Even with the XSX's release date and price being released, all I'm hearing is 'now how about Sony?', not 'Oh yeah, I'm TOTALLY getting a Series X!' Even when Xbox should be getting the hype, all eyes are on Sony; I think it's pretty clear who's winning - at least this holiday season.
