What a weird thing to be pissed about, its obviously and sadly politically motivated.
If they added Pele, Maradona - or any well known player not on that level - as free agents in Fifa people would be happy about it. They probably already do.

Not just politically motivated, but motivated by racism. Either they want to cater to racists or are racists themselves. This is part of the movement of those who don’t think black lives should matter, that US police should keep killing blacks at literally hundreds of times the rate of civilized nations.

Another point, putting notable athletes from the past into games isn’t exactly something new that sports games started doing recently.

Racists and racist enablers can go fuck themselves with a rusty pipe and no Vaseline.

That’s a bit extreme take. He’s just not that good a athlete and doesn’t deserve the treatment EA gave him. It’s almost like EA gave him woke powers to supercharge him in the game to compensate for his real world mediocrity as a QB.

I don’t play Madden, but I imagine that’s the source of the reaction: making a player better in game because of his political statement, and not his talent. While the rest of the game IP remains stagnant and buggy.

I want to say this with intent to be as delicate as possible: You can disagree with certain aspects of someone’s actions and not be a racist. Imo kneeling at the anthem during a game is not the time nor place and is frankly not very patriotic. At the same time I believe in racial equality and anti police brutality.
Try to separate the politics from the sports. These are mostly sports fans reacting, not the despicable people you referring to.
