Just goes to show practices that are criticized to death on other companies are fully embraced when Nintendo does it.

This move was critized to death (see here for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2OUVNO3ToY ) and these moves are usually critized, *because* they are working. So you construct a strawmen of double standards, that does not exist in reality.

Then you go to outside of VGC where wasn't the point.

Which basically just agrees with my point.

And have been many times like that in VGC. Nintendo fanbase have been the most critical of several practices other companies done but praised like crazy when Nintendo done the same. Like locking DLC on Amibos, that was something worse than any other company ever done, still was defended and praised here.

You do the typical thing: you treat some people in the fanbase as the whole fanbase. That is the same on other fanbases, other games got critized by some and were highly anticipated by others. The mother of all shady shit, the yearly FIFA and NBA2K-games with Microtransactions and Gold version and whatnot *on top* of a full priced games regularly sell multiple millions. So yes, I am not surprised that Nintendo will sell a lot of this package, even if they employ shady tactics with this limited time shit. Because every fanbase let's the companies get away with this shady shit. Nintendo is not special in this regard.

I have talked about the fanbase on here, you can look this thread, the other thread about this collection and even your good, bad and ugly and you'll see it.

You can try to detract as much as you want with "turning a part of the fanbase as the whole fanbase" that doesn't really change a thing about the truth that yes Nintendo get away with much more than other companies. Please show me the same level of defense for the yearly titles, mtx, dlc, etc of other companies compared to Nintendo.
