Alright, upon reflection I think I actually do have something to say on the matter.

Honestly, I think Sony is doing the right thing here by balancing out the needs of the platform holder with the needs of the community and consumers. They get the immediate effect of making their platform have value by giving it exclusives, thus driving console sales and strengthening the brand, and then once the effect has worn off, they expand to PC so those who weren't gonna buy a PS5 for the game anyway can still play it. IT makes PC gamers happy, it expands sales that wouldn't have happened otherwise by opening up another platform, and it doesn't interfere with anything that helps the platform itself.

Literally everyone wins.

With Microsoft just releasing on PC day and date, it doesn't give any incentive to get an Xbox if you already have a PC, and Nintendo going on handhelds is...well, it's not DAMAGING the brand but it's not helping either. I think what Sony is doing is a nice balance between being loose with the exclusives like Microsoft and tight like Nintendo. I always felt that somewhere in between would be best because I always found Nintendo a bit too restrictive and Microsoft a bit too relaxed.

Another example where all three brands are doing slightly different, so it doesn't matter where you go you have something.

To OP: Either buy it or don't. It's up to you. If you personally feel that they're doing it wrong, that's fine. I still don't understand why you felt the need to make a thread about it. IT appears you're in a very small minority and your arguments aren't widespread or anything.
