Nothing amazing or ground breaking has happened in most new console launches since CD & 3D.it's mostly been about making things prettier and this gen isn't so much different. If we want to pedantic, we can argue SSD and what that could bring and possibly a huge empasis on audio, not that this didn't happen with the introduction of discs.
The article is trash. Nothing last gen at launch outside of KZSF looked wow. Even then the graphics were just nicer. So why the big whinging and whining this time?
It feels more like MS ain't ready possibly so let's delay the gen.
Had the argument been about how we are less than 90 days from launch and these companies are taking the piss with preorder info and price, is say fair enough, but if there is nothing exciting shown then maybe gaming is no longer your thing.
Journalists spoke about graphics last gen. Remember the whole craze about Ryse and how many individual parts the characters costumes are made out of?! Load times - remember articles about bloodbornes load times?
Tech wise enough has been said by both for gamers to be excited about. Only thing is MS hasnt shown anything to blow anyone away or down any credible / exciting game for launch.
The article itself is lacking excitement and a story and if anything, the writer should have delayed his non story to next year.
