Link's Awakening isn't a year old, BoTW2 has been announced and didn't we just get Paper Mario?

Mario 64 in 1080p/60fps? Why?

Sorry i'm just so frustrated with Nintendo lately.

Mario 64 in 1080p 60fps .. why not ? Also i mostly want Galaxy games and Sunshine in 1080p 60fps that would be so amazing.

I expected better from the unifying of Nintendo's software but my disappointment might be because games aren't announced 2 years in advance.

i prefer that they surprise/stealth drop with 0-2 months notice.

No matter what Nintendo does for the rest of the year, they aren't gonna steal mindshare from MS and Sony. I personally hoped they'd go full throttle against the 4K twins like they did with Wii but I have to admit that it's better for them to go for the core-core-Nintendo (Pikmin + paper mario) and casualz (Ring Fit + Animal Crossing) instead of trying to appeal to the core. Add Covid in and even if they wanted to go full speed, they probably couldn't.

I don't think the Halo delay is bad as some think. It would be best if XB had a backup for launch but I never saw an outcome where MS was gonna pick up momentum in the early stages. Halo and Nintendo's first party should be ready to go when the initial new console buzz wears off. 1st years are nearly always shit so the best time to take advantage isn't at launch but after the launch hype.

Nintendo can afford to take a 'core' year off and I don't mind so long as they unload when PS5/XSX hit their lull. Switch Sports, MK9, Pokemon and NewNSMB for the casuals and Metroid, BoTW2 and FZero (MK8 has created F-Zero fans who have never played F-Zero) for the core over an 18 month period.
