Microsofts policy is exactly the same as Steams, Sony allow refunds within 14 days but not if you downloaded the game. UPlay/Sony need to catch up and add either the under 2 hours played, or the within 24 hours of first use policy that the others use. Nintendo are the worst of all and don't even do that.

Good

Steam - Refund any game within 2 weeks of purchase and under 2 hours played.
Origin - Refund any game within 24 hours of first launch or within 2 weeks of purchase.
Epic Game Store - Refund any game within 2 weeks of purchase and under 2 hours played.
Microsoft - Refund any game within 2 weeks of purchase and under 2 hours played.
GOG - full refund up to 30 days after purchasing a product, even if you downloaded, launched, and played it.
Stadia - You can request a refund within 14 days of your purchase if there is less than 2 hours of play time

Bad

Uplay - Refund within 2 weeks if game not accessed.
Sony - Refund within 2 weeks if game not accessed.

Terrible

Nintendo - "We are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for mistaken purchases, and/or if you don't like the game."

Uplay Sony and Nintendo need to sort their shit out.

Especially given that Sony will run into problems with this if people but their DIGITAL ONLY PS5, that's just asking for issues.

I hope EU and US laws on end users protection will eventually force them to adopt more consumer-friendly policies, possibly after the first tribunal defeats, without stubbornly waiting for more and worse ones.
