  • Konami's eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball 2020 is the only title to see big growth since the last update
  • Momotaro Dentetsu has not exited the Top 10 on Amazon since it's reveal, good chance that Konami surpasses 1.2M by the end of 2020
  • The next major 3rd Party title to release is Bandai Namco's Captain Tsubasa, this one will likely have around 50K opening but based on Taiko and Fishing Spirits' performance, I would position it as the big sleeper hit of the summer.
  • Atlus is the other company that should finally make the list this year due to SMT III
  • Koei Tecmo had another mediocre release, this time Gust's Fairy Tail, their chances for a hit are Atelier Ryza 2 which I hope could sell at least 100K
  • Marvelous is very likely to move above Koei, Capcom & EA by the end of the year due to Rune Factory 5(as long is doesn't get delayed), Sakuna is more of an unknown perhaps it might also do well in Japan and make the Top 30

By the end of the year we can expect that all titles in the Top 30 would need to sell at least 100K to make it there. It's extremely likely that Momotaro becomes the second best-selling 3rd Party Game on the Switch by the end of 2020. Captain Tsubasa is the title that could push Bandai beyond 2M. Microsoft remains unchallenged at the top. Square still hasn't dated Bravely Default 2, which would be their biggest title on the Switch for 2020. Sega, Level 5, Capcom will continue to stagnate positions in the chart since they have nothing major announced, while Nippon is extremely likely to exit the chart by the end of the quarter. If Fifa does decently EA will have sold more physical software than Capcom on the system by the end of the year - an unprecedented partnership indeed.

Still announced support is much better for the rest of the year compared to 2019, but there is still time for games to be delayed so until we have dates - it's too early to say if 3rd Parties will be able to really expand their audience on the Switch these holidays. If Bravely Default 2, Rune Factory 5, Atelier Ryza 2, Momotaro Dentetsu, SMT III all are launched in time for the holidays I do expect them to do very well for their publishers.

Since the last update, there haven't been that many titles revealed and there is very little time to reveal anything major for the end of the year. The big losers this holiday are shaping up to be Capcom, Level 5 and Sega - so if anything - I'd be expecting "something" more from them. But I'm not holding my breath :)

Also very relevant post regarding 3rd Party strategy by Chris on resetera:

"Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2016 (PS4/PS3/PSV) shipped 500.000 at 24 August 2016, 4 months after release (28 April 2016).
For Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2018 (PS4/PSV - 26 April 2018 release) there wasn't official announcement for when the milestone was passed, Playstation Awards 2018 had is half million seller in Asia.
