I forgot about Metal Gear Solid 4. I loved the series, but the horrid story choices and painfully long cutscenes in the fourth installment has caused me to loathe the game all-together. I consider the series ended after MGS3.

Really? I felt that MGS4, while it had some long cutscenes and such, was still much better than MGS2's cutscenes and codecs.

"We're only about three feet from each other. So, to make sure that nobody listens in on our conversation, lets continue this conversation on our codecs!"

I mean, what's the difference? Don't you still have to actually talk to verbally communicate? What would switching to codec for the next 40 minutes do except give the developers and excuse to not actually spend time making a cutscene?

That's a fair point, and I admit that I may very well have forgotten how much MGS2 did that kind of stuff too, since I most recently played MGS3 and enjoyed it lots. I might have to replay MGS2 to see if I actually like it or not too :p Either way, MGS3 was easily the best, in my opinion.
