Yeah PC gaming isn't going anywhere. It's a nessessay device. If you look at the current state of consoles they are are converging into PC's. Some might argue that we are moving to GaaS cloud based streaming services. Negating the need for such devices.

No way smartphone phone games are going to kill PC gaming. That's not ever going to happen.

But smartphones did kill Sony handhelds with a little help from Nintendo.

Smartphones are arguably already ahead of Switch yet Switch hasn't fallen like Sony's hh did and Switch outsold PS4Pro and XB Super or whatever it was called while also outselling XB1 overall and outpacing the PS4.

The market is sending it's signals. Whether you ignore them or not is up to you.

All I'll say is I'd rather be a content king like Nintendo than be a gateway to CoD, Fortnite, Minecraft, FIFA and GTA like every other smart device is or will be.

Totally different experiences. The mass market isn't going to buy a smartphone to play mainstream games like COD, FIFA, Fortnite, Mario etc.

Nintendo have tried dabbling into making games for smartphones and it didn't quite work out for them.

Cloud gaming and GaaS will most likely future for consoles. Even Nintendo is looking into it. Until then there's still a lot of demand for consoles. PS4 sold over 100M Xbox 50M Switch 50M
