VIII Remastered is fun, helps take the edge off of some of the bits and pieces of the game that didn't age well. For me, the remaster of VIII feels a little bit "sloppier" than the remaster of IX though, but it's not in a way that becomes distracting or overly negative. It's just a shame that both the remasters of VIII and IX did the bare minimum of what was expected rather than really giving some substantive improvements. I don't think any one is expecting VIIR-level changes but replacing those pre-rendered backgrounds with stuff that isn't 360p would have been nice xD
