As far as I know the strongest sales week ever for an xbox game in Japan was Tales of Vesperia which debuted at 106k in 2008. Boosted the 360 to a whopping 25k sales that week. Incredible.

Impressive to think the 360 might have competed with the PS3 for a single week during the 7th generation ...

After checking the hardware by date tool, it actually seems like there were around a dozen weeks where the 360 outsold the PS3 in Japan.

Out of several hundreds, but still.
