FAMITSU TOP SELLING GAMES JAPAN ALL TIME(physical):

8. Animal Crossing: Wild World (NDS) - 5.241.655

9. Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch) - 5.114.386

10. Brain Age 2 (NDS) - 5.082.322

New Horizon moves into 9th place, I think it should be very close or in the Top 5 by the end of the Quarter, which would require >5.82M

Do you have to full list ?

Sure check out this site, it's where I spent a lot of time :)

Amazing result for Human Fall Flat, No Brakes Games and the polish publisher Teyon. This is by far the biggest indie evergreen on the eShop and now it even has a physical version that has already sold 9.756 which is 60-80% of the original shipment, so it's looking like they might need to supply some more copies in the near future. Considering Splatoon 2 had a 30% off , splatfest and a demo it's very likely that Human Fall Flat did very well for itself in the first 6 months of the year. We are talking >300K copies digital+physical since Splatoon had around >200K physical sales. Obviously there is a big difference in price as Human Fall Flat is constantly discounted and costs ¥1.500 digitally and ¥3.500 physically compared to Splatoon 2 which is ¥6.578 digitally and ¥5.980 physically.

The other indie games doing great that have a physical copy are Overcooked 2 & Undertale.

Also, we notice that 1/3 of the Top 30 are Japanese 3rd Party games in the list - Level 5 is top with 4 games that they've been aggressively discounting on the eShop. Imagineer's Fitness Boxing is the highest non-Level 5 game from a Japanese publisher on the list.

NBA2K was another game aggressively discounted on the eShop and that's why it's so high in the rankings.
