Yeah, that's definitely a factor for sure. When I was a young teenager and got my OG Xbox, I loved the hell out of the design. But looking back on it now, as an adult, it's really kind of gaudy looking. I find I prefer tasteful minimalist designs now like Series X and Xbox One X, over flashier consoles like OG Xbox and PS5.

Could be me, but I always associated "the most boring looking one" with the most capable and entertaining console.
But OG Xbox tops the ugly list.
