R.O.B.s spot dodge is very short, and D-smash has nearly no start up lag. If thats the R.O.B.s strategy, a short hop keeps you above the D-smash. You can then punish it with your aerial of choice.
Dedede can't really combo, he can WoP and Chaingrab but after that his only true combo is with Waddle Doos. Waddle Beam > F-smash/Dash Attack >.>
