Little Town Hero from recent memory.
It has a very unique battle system, pulled me in and gave me a very challenging ride, made me feel galaxy brain by the end of it, managing to defeat most of the final boss without taking a single hit.
On top of it, has a very charming story, character design, and an incredible soundtrack.
