I can't buy into this.

PC's are not going to replace Consoles, and Consoles won't replace PC. Streaming will offer an option, but even in the best case, I don't expect it to be the main form of gaming in most homes for many more years.

Consoles are flat out the best way to consume media on a large screen in the home. PC and Smart TV's are no threat to Console's in your average household. Picking up a PlayStation or Xbox Controller and pressing the Home button turns on everything in your Media Center and opens you up to a nearly unlimited mutlimedia expereince. It is as simple and convenient as it gets, and that is what the majority of people are looking for when they sit down on the couch.

These new consoles are going to make things even more simple and convenient, while completely eleminating wait time. That is going to be a major selling point for both next gen consoles. When people see games and apps loading instantly on PS5 and XBS it will get PS4 and XBO users running out to upgrade ASAP. I won't be surprised to see many using Set Top Boxes and Smart TVs make a leap to the new consoles, when they see just how smoothly they move between content. There is nothing more annoying for most people than trying to move through content or apps, while shaking their remote at the TV/Set Top box as it fails to smoothly respond to their inputs.

I fully expect PS5 and XBS to once again land in the 150 - 200 Million range, just as these consoles have done for the last 20 years.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
