Again, not everyone would agree.

I'd rate the Wii way above Wii U because I keep all my hardware making backwards compatibility worthless to me, and I rate a system based on how good an experience I had with it during its life.

Fair enough, if you are going by your personal experience than sure. I am just basing this off the hardware and software situation. The WiiU could do everything the Wii did and more, same how the XB1 can do everything the OG Xbox could do and more, just like how a GTX2080 can do everything a GTX1080 can do and more. If the XB1 and WiiU weren't backwards compatibly than i might argue for there sake but considering they are, they are the same system with one being capable of a lot more.

I get where you're coming from, fair enough. Being able to play old games doesn't necessarily count for much depending on the individual is all I meant, some folks keep their old hardware to play its games or just aren't interested in playing old games.

I mean, for me the original Xbox is better cos I played games like Halo 1 & 2, Star Wars Battlefront, and Panzer Dragoon Orta on it. Theoretically I could play those on an Xbox One as well, but (a) why would I when I still have my original Xbox, and (b) if I'm buying a new system I'm only interested in what NEW games it brings to the table. Playing a game once it's old can never measure up to the excitement of playing it when its fresh and new.
