To me it’s clear who’s the most progressive and innovating the most. As opposed to one platform like the competition you can get their games via console/PC/Game Pass/Xcloud. Low barrier to entry and so many choices. Their investment in 1st party is unheard of, July event gonna change a lot of perceptions with too many games under wraps for too long.

In the end 3rd party games, even timed or whatever come and go. It’s the 1st party that defines the brand. Sony’s conference can be summed up as: GT7, Spiderman MM, Horizon ZD2, Ratchet&Clank. The big guns. Show me more then 4 big exclusives and they prove their first party is serious competition. Forza and Halo are a given, it’s the rest of their studios unknown games that make me excited.

Well I always though you were conservative.

And on the unheard of, Nintendo and Sony have invested much more for much longer. At most you can say it is unheard of on MS, but even that if you sum the total they paid in all these studios and expansions is probably less than they paid on Mohjang and perhaps not more than the money they put on their TV intentions and studios that they closed on the start of this gen.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"
