I had to see for myself. Watched the ending with final gameplay moments and epilogue. For fans of the first game I can completely understand if they felt let down.
The alt right reviewers aren’t helping and are perhaps representing the whole when people are trying to understand the source of the outrage. Thats not the issue, I see the review bombs, and the sheer number of it, being the result of regular people trying to get the attention of people on the fence to reconsider their purchase. That there is a disconnect between end users and media, just like Star Wars Last Jedi.
It’s the story and the writing that ultimately is best case divisive and worst case does a disservice to the fans. This is me seeing various streamer reactions, comment sections across multiple videos, and Twitter. I take no pleasure in saying this it feels like when Halo 5s story was ripped apart I wouldn’t wish that on someone who loves a IP. Those who are liking the game need to understand this isn’t trolls or fanboys or all alt right....this is people who are big fans of LOU1.
