While Switch players have voiced a lot of frustration with the general attitude of third parties shortchanging the Switch in spite of its success, in my experience it's mostly other publishers whose games were requested. Personally I've spoken often of wanting better support from Capcom and Activision, but never EA.

I suppose I agree. To be more specific, EA saw a lot of complaining, but not a lot of begging, if that makes sense. As in, why would EA not release xyz on Switch. But instead of the arguments coming from a logistical standpoint, it always sounded like it came out of conviction. To me, it's basically the same argument when put in this context of conviction. You're still complaining about a game not coming out on a platform you like, and then not even wanting the game when it does come to the platform. Which again, arguing from purely business optics makes some sense. But when it's out of an anger of the company I think it tends to stem from similar motives as enraged begging. In other words, I understand not wanting EA games, but as a part of a community I wouldn't be spending a lot of time complaining about it and focusing on it. Which, seemed like the case a few years ago. Not to the extent of other publishers mind you, but EA still got plenty of it (Fifa Legacy Edition, The Titanfall 2 Developer Comments, and the "Unprecedented Support" stuff didn't help. I don't think I'm imagining it when all that became fairly long-running memes for a while). Ultimately though, if their games end up not selling well on Switch, I don't want to hear about how egregious it is they don't release stuff on Switch 2, not that forum comments are any indicator of that.

As for Capcom well .... we know how that turned out ....

The games EA are bringing are stuff that I wouldn't have bought anyway even if I already had an Xbox One or PS4; I may buy third party games on Switch to support them if they're something I am interested in, as I have with Witcher 3, Doom, Hellblade, Wolfenstein II, and many more, but I don't buy games I have no interest in just in the hopes that it'll lead to more support from the publisher, basically.

EA just aren't a company I really care a lot about in general.
