Some aspect showed that checkerboard is better and have better anti aliasing on this video , on top of that many GPU offer DLSS which is checkerboard with machine learning.
EDIT: On top of that you need to zoom in a lot to compared which is waste of effort and time, when you playing video games you will not notice especially if you are moving your character.
