NES to SNES is a tiny little jump compared with SNES to N64 and that's my point.

And Wii U/Switch games look the same practically.

NES to SNES is normal sized generational leap; 4th to 5th gen was an exception to the norm due to the paradigm shift of going from 2D to 3D.

And I'm gonna have to disagree with you on Wii U vs Switch; it's not a full regular-sized generational leap for obvious reasons, but the gap is certainly visible to me.
