The thread is fine. The people attacking it aren't.

I know two people who have sold their Wii's after being dissapointed with the software lineup and a third who is considering it. One guy won the Wii, and decided that he didn't have friends over enough to justify the multiplayer based console so he sold it for full price

One guy got it for Zelda, beat Zelda, and sold it one week before Super Paper Mario came out because he didn't think there was any other good games for it,

And the third guy got Zelda one week before he got his Wii, and now doesn't play it very much because, once again, he doesn't think there are any other good games for it.

What I found most interesting was that in each case, they actually had no idea what the games for it were. So "I don't know what games the Wii has" became "It has no good games"

I think it's just part of the Zelda effect. Normally it takes a while for the AAA games to come to a console. So when one comes out so soon, people that normally would have waited till a year or two into the consoles life cycle to buy it end up getting it before they normally would. I have no doubt that most people getting rid of their wii's now (at full price!) will be getting Wii's again in a year or so.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
