You need a stand or 1.2 cm crutch on the right side to keep it level.

If you just lay it down it has about a 3 degree lisp to the right

It's already 9.9cm high letting it rest on its own or with a crutch. With stand I guess at least another cm higher.
The vertical stand seems to raise it up about 1.4cm, making the ps5 40.7 cm tall with stand, 11.3 cm high horizontally.

So, as unveiled:

Now just to lay it down to the left, while flipping the ODD:

Or getting rid of the hard right angle near the ODD.

Now tell me this doesn't look much better when horizontal. It's still not amazing, and would unfortunately list slightly, but I think it looks considerably better than laying down to the right with the stand and ODD underneath.

Just a tiny amount of list. SNY could just make the bottom portion (standing) ever so slightly wider on both sides of the digital edition, so the same case section can be used on the physical edition so it can lay down perfectly flat this way without a stand, and the digital edition could lay either way.

I like the rounded ODD edge version on the right better, vertical or horizontal.

Unfortunately the sides are curved in both directions, so it would be rocking back and forth as well or list to one side depending on where the center of mass is (or cables tugging on it) Got to add some rubber nobs in the corners to level it out and make it stable.

Perhaps the psu is on the far left (bottom), heaviest part, it might even stay horizontal without any help :)
