Yep, Without a stand the ps5 is about 39.3 cm tall / wide, ps3 phat was 32.5 cm tall / wide
And without a stand the ps5 is about 9.9 cm wide / high, ps3 phat was 9.8 cm wide / high.

It's hard to tell the depth of the ps5 since it's all curved at we don't have a proper top down picture.
ps5 is about 20% longer than ps3 phat, same thickness, probably a bit more depth to it

Crudely scaled on length difference

It does seem very big, but my set have PS4Pro occupying only 1/4 of the space there so I think I`ll have space for it and a breakout box but will need to use it laid. Perhaps I`ll put it on the top of the setup to have it standing (but worried of it flipping and falling over.
