Oh don't worry, I get it... was just pointing out that the PS3 managed to cross 50m even with its awful launch, lol. I'm happy to pay a high price because I know I'll get my money's worth out of it, and there's already a minimum of a dozen games I'll be buying just from the first ever games reveal of it, lol. If they announce the price and it's cheaper though? Big win for me, the money will go on more games lol :P |
I don`t mind paying 599 for a console I`ll use for 6 years, but yes market wise it is still a little high. 499 is the maximum I see it being a massive launch period and first year sustained sales (without they making a big cut on second or third holiday). Something like PS4 is more likely, launch at 50 USD loss (so 399 discless and 449-499 with disc) and keep that price for 3 years already making profit on the second year, then cut like 100 and hover to the end of it.
On the game side I agree with you this have been one of the most loaded reveals I remember on games I want to buy today.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"
