Far out I'm glad I didn't let Digital Foundry and the like convince me not to buy The Outer Worlds, it's the best games I've played in quite a while.
The sheer variety of different ways it can be played depending on your choices is remarkable, the writing is excellent, and the combat is as good as some dedicated action games. The port definitely could've been better, and it sure ain't a looker, but I'm liking it a lot.
