I'm 100% sure.

Back then I had no intention at all of going digital, and only installed Steam in order to use that voucher (after all, if I had it, I wasn't going to let it go waste).

And yes, it's a GFWL and, since it hasn't been patched, it no longer works as it doesn't save your progress and such. It's a shame because I really liked the game and, since I no longer could play it, I bought Dirt 3 to get some of the same fun but... well. let's say that the over the top X-games style of Dirt 3 isn't for me.

Sure, the GfW situation is far from ideal, but the software still works on my computer (Windows 10) without problems.

GfW-connected games also still have no problems running and saving.

Today I even activated a "new" GfW-game (Battlestations Pacific), which was included in the huge Square-Enix-bundle on Steam a few weeks ago:

I had expected that the GfW-games would become totally unusable years ago or that the activation server gets turned off... still hasn't happened.

So Microsoft ain't that bad at keeping up support for failed/old online systems, while I can't reactivate or redownload my PS mobile games on Vita or log into the PSN with my PSP, redownload WiiWare games, or play Wii and DS games online since 2014.
