What benefit does China have killing the world economy, they rely as much on their export as we do on their manufacturing. Plus China holds a lot of debt from other countries, mainly the US. A, there a much safer ways to destroy the US economy with all that debt, B they would be devaluing their own holds in the USA and other countries. That conspiracy theory doesn't even pass the who would benefit test.
Second, the only thing certain about the Wuhan lab is, that it exists. There is zero reason to believe it escaped there and also proven to be impossible for the original virus to jump from bats to humans without an intermediary host.

A few scientists and national security experts have pointed to a history of lab accidents infecting researchers to suggest it might have happened in this case, but many scientists have dismissed such theories.
