Pretty much true. But current HW available at this time can run absolutely every game already launched and for the next 5 years with 4k60fps no fault?

Who knows what the future holds?
The Xbox One and Playstation 4 couldn't run every single game for the entire console cycle perfectly at 1080P, 30fps either, let alone 60fps... And Xbox One games are getting some seriously severe cutbacks. (Which you can do on PC as well, engines are scalable.)
And that necessitated a mid-generation hardware refresh to catch the consoles up to a mid-range PC with the Xbox One X and Playstation 4 Pro.

You cannot guarantee anything 5 years down the track, things are constantly evolving and changing in the technology world, doesn't matter if it's console or PC.

But one thing I can guarantee is that one of my PC's that I built in the 7th console generation will still be running games from the 9th console generation, can't really say the same thing for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.
