I wouldn't be surprised if they DON'T drop it at E3 - but do "manufacture" a drop just before the Halo release - potentially with a Halo 3 pack - for an ultra sales boost.
Either way, with Sony making the first move - the court is open for MS, and they have control over pricing/timing and can do what they want (no chance of Sony dropping again).
