RolStoppable said: It's normal that people start to care less and become more careless with the numbers going down. Additionally, over time people realize that corona infections don't happen when two or more people are within two meters of each other; it dawns on them that only an infected person can transmit the virus. So life begins to return to normal because people are trusting each other that nobody is infected. Government officials know how it works too. They know that some of the restrictions are mostly bogus, like visits from relatives or friends. Too bad of Ford to let that slip. |
Relatives have spouses who have other relatives, we're all connected! The problem is many people don't know they're infected and contagious, an of course everyone thinks it's only the other people that have it. Nobody is infected, the numbers are all a lie :)
Ford's mistakes are letting it slip and being casual about something that's still killing many people each day. Lead by example is a hollow statement nowadays.
And yep, people are getting more careless now a false sense of security is creeping in. Kids playing in the park again which is still closed. The virus can still survive for 4 days on the climbers and swings etc.
Anyway, this little twitter mishap doesn't compare to March break and not protecting elderly homes by letting people keep working at different facilities for the longest time. Politicians are too busy being friendly to gain votes instead of doing their job.
