1998 looks pretty solid. This year would need SC2, FF13, GoW3, etc.
But, add GoW:CoO and FF:CC along with Patapon and others for the best year for PSP, at least. FFT.
Good gosh, looking over that 1998 list again...DDR and MGS. That's a serious year. MGS4 wouldn't exist without MGS1, but they at least cancel. It's going to be awhile before we can judge current years against 1998, but it would be very hard to say any year is better than that for quite some time.
