We know pretty much nothing about XSX hardware capabilities.
Shouting "12TF 12TF 12TF" and buzzwords like "Velocity Engine" pretty much sums up what has happened up to now.
I'm pretty sure MS had something similar in petto like the Cerny talk. But seeing how the gamerzzz crowd reacted to the Cerny developer's talk (which was very impressive from a technical standpoint), they probably decided not to go that road.
That May 7 Showcase might have been a quick attempt to fill a void until the "real stuff" is ready to show, but it didn't really help much in the short run as the stuff showed absolutely none of the XSX capabilities.
