Study from 2018.
found ~40% had deficiency of vitamin D.
39% of these people with deficiency where "Non-Hispanic African-Americans" (black) while they represent 16,5% of the population.
(ei. blacks make up disproportionate % of that) (same is true for Mexican-Americans, Hispanics ect) (lighter skin tone the less % you make up basically)

I've seen people quote 44%+, so I assume thats from a newer study.
Cant be arsed to look it up, but a large amount of people in the US have a vitamin D deficiency.

Enough for me to say "half".

Can't be bothered to click the link, but your explanation is bad. 39% of 40% is just under 16%, so black people would be affected right in line with what they make up of the total population.

Too drunk to do math then I clicked on link and too many words. Need sober person to do math.

From my understanding he is saying blacks are most affected yet they only make up like 15 percent of population.  Where does the other percent comes from Asians hiding from the sun in US?
